Is The Green Collective SG a zero-waste store?
No, we are not a zero-waste store, but we do offer products that match your values, be it no-plastic to helping artisanal communities to closing the waste loop. These correspond to the respective UNSDGs that the space is curated on.
Do you have a second-hand clothing collection?
Yes we do! You can drop off any day between 12pm and 9pm. For hygiene reasons, please ensure that the items are in good conditions, cleaned, free of mold and placed in bags. The collected apparels, linen, shoes, belts and bags are sent to our partner Greensquare Textile Recycling. You can also arrange for a free pick-up if you have a minimum weight of 15kg or 3 large full bags.
Should you wish to give your apparels a second life, you can donate to our pre-loved rack and proceeds of the sales will contribute to the running of our community.
What do all these terms and certifications mean?
It can certainly be confusing so we made a wordbook for you, explaining the different terms used on our site. Have a read here.
How can I be sure of the environmental claims for a product?
Check the buying tips from the Competition and Consumer Commission Singapore. At The Green Collective, we take great care and pride in selecting products and enterprises that stay clear of greenwashing and are genuinely hoping to do good.
What does "greenwashing" mean?
Greenwashing is a form of advertising in which marketing is deceptively used to persuade the public that an organization's products, aims, and policies are environmentally friendly. This word gives us chills down the spine! Our strict curation process ensures that claims made by all entrepreneurs within The Green Collective are based on facts.
