Description

Eco Femme cloth pads are made with organic cotton and certified by GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standards).

The top and inner layers are made with soft absorbent cotton flannel. The bottom cotton layer is laminated with a polyurethane layer to make it leakproof.

The pads come in different sizes, ranging from pantyliners for light flow to the Super Comfy for heavy flow. And they can be reused for 75 washes (and will last approx. 4 years).

Product Life: Our pads will last approx. 75 – 100 washes, or 3 -5 years, depending on how frequently a pad is used and how well it is cared for.

Care

  • Soaking in cold water first is essential for removing blood from all materials, not just cloth pads. It’s important to avoid hot water during the first rinse, because it sets blood stains. Leave for minimum 30 minutes.
  • Washing with soap further helps remove residues, especially to wash out the fat-based blood components. You can wash your pad by hand, or in the washing machine along with other clothes.

What materials are period underwear made from?

Period underwear varies by brand. Modibodi uses Bamboo and Spandex outer with a Merino Wool gusset. Love Luna uses Cotton/Elastane lining with Polyester/Viscose/Elastane padding. Each product page lists the full material breakdown.

How do I care for period underwear?

Wash before first use. Machine wash cold on a delicate cycle. Do not use fabric softener, bleach, or tumble dry. Line dry only. Do not iron or dry clean. Following these care instructions will extend the life of your period underwear.

What is the absorbency capacity of period underwear?

Absorbency varies by style. Modibodi Sensual Hi-Waist holds 20ml (3 to 4 tampons). Love Luna Full Brief holds 15 to 20ml (3 to 4 tampons). Love Luna Bikini Brief holds 10 to 15ml (2 to 3 tampons). Check individual product pages for full details.
