Ollie Hungarian Oregano Oil
Ollie Hungarian Oregano Oil
Description
Oregano is not only delicious in Sunday night's pizza - this fragrant herb boasts many health benefits when used in essential oil form. It is packed with fat-burning properties and antioxidants which can get rid of those stubborn belly rolls (from too much pizza) and bring your skin back to its soft, glowing glory.
Worried about COVID-19 wrecking your immune system? We definitely are. So we like to stay prepared. Try diffusing just 2 drops of oregano oil daily to clear your lungs, boost your immune system, and cleanse the air.
Do you love the smell of an Italian kitchen but also want to keep it sparkling clean? Add 10 drops of oregano oil to one bottle to 500ml of water or isopropyl alcohol to create a natural, harsh chemical-free antimicrobial surface cleanser that beats any supermarket-brand disinfectant.
That's not all. Adding one drop of oregano oil to your pot of tea or bowl of pasta can bring much needed freshness to your food and also improve digestion. Just a note, oregano oil is a strong oil. Always use it diluted with a carrier oil.
How to use
Oregano oil is a multipurpose and powerful essential oil. Disinfectant cleanser: 10 drops of Ollie's Hungarian Oregano oil + 400 ml of water or isopropyl alcohol. Shake well and use. Healthy lungs diffuser blend: 2 drops of Ollie's Hungarian Oregano oil + 2 drops of Ollie's Himalayan Cedarwood Oil. Add 1 drop of eucalyptus for additional freshness. Psoriasis tonic: 5 drops of Ollie's Hungarian Oregano Oil + 1 tablespoon of Avocado oil. Mix and apply to the affected area.
Where is it sourced?
Oregano is a mediterranean plant. It grows best in mediterranean and temperate climates. At Ollie, we source oregano essential oil from Hungary. It grows as a hardy, fragrant bush there. The leaves are air dried and then steam distilled to extract the essential oils. Hungarian oregano (Origanum vulgare) is a strong flavoured oregano with an intense, smoky aroma.
Caution
Oregano oil is a strong oil. Never use it directly. Always dilute it with a carrier oil before using it. The ratio is 1 drop of oregano oil to 1 teaspoon of carrier oil (this is 1% dilution) for topical application. Best carrier oil pairing: Oregano oil pairs best with grapeseed oil or avocado oil. But you can use any other carrier oil as well to get the same benefits. Do not ingest oregano oil directly. It can cause nausea and sensitivity. If you are adding it to food, no more than 1 drop per big bowl of food.
