Description
Related to Eucalyptus Oil but completely different, Lemon eucalyptus oil is one of our unique citrusy-camphor smelling, highly versatile essential oils. Known for its powerful and natural insect repellent properties, Lemon eucalyptus oil is the most common ingredient in most insect repellants. It is, in fact, the No. 1 ingredient in Ollie's essential oil mosquito repellent spray! With the recent spike in dengue cases in Singapore, this is a must-have at home.
Aside from insect repellant properties, it also has multiple other uses. Treat fungal skin infections, relieve arthritis pain and muscle spasms, and improve your breathing by using lemon eucalyptus essential oil.
How to use
Lemon eucalyptus oil has a soft lemony scent coupled with a camphorous scent that is reminiscent of eucalyptus oil. It is a wonderful ingredient to add in homemade air fresheners and clothes detergents. Mix it with other essential oils such as cedarwood oil or lavender oil for air-purifying diffuser blends.
Lemon Eucalyptus oil contains chest decongestant properties, so the next time you're having a chesty cough try diffusing a few drops of Ollie's Lemon Eucalyptus Oil in your room. It'll clear up in no time! Lemon eucalyptus oil has been shown to have powerful anti-fungal properties. If you are suffering from skin or nail fungal infections, make your own skin and nail tonic. LEMON EUCALYPTUS OIL DIFFUSER BLEND 2 drops of lemon eucalyptus oil 3 drops of himalayan lavender oil 2 drops of peppermint oil
Where is it sourced?
Lemon eucalyptus oil comes from the lemon-scented gum tree or blue spotted gum tree. We source lemon eucalyptus oil from Australia, where it is native. The oil is extracted by steam distilling the leaves of the lemon eucalyptus tree.
Caution
Although lemon eucalyptus essential oil is a much safer alternative to DEET-based mosquito repellents, you should still use it with care. Just as you would not allow your child to get commercial mosquito repellent into her eyes or mouth, the same applies to lemon eucalyptus oil! Do dilute lemon eucalyptus oil well before use, as undiluted oil can cause severe irritation or even burns.
